A neuroscientist at heart, I'm a neurosurgeon by default, with two subspecialty fellowships in functional neurosurgery and radiosurgery and a passion for brain implants and neuromodulation. I have more than 20 years of experience in general neurosurgery. I have been actively involved in basic and translational research in neuroscience and innovative treatments and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on multiple projects.At present, my focus is on prevention and non-invasive treatment of spinal disorders for which I have opened a neurorehabilitation startup, "SpinaCure". Here, we are also working on developing transcutaneous electrical stimulation technologies for various neurological problems. I have recently been accepted into partnership with "Brainality", a VR based rehabilitation company providing non-conventional and innovative solutions for neurorehabilitation. I plan to limit the surgical part of my practice to functional neurosurgery for movement disorders and psychiatric illnesses.
