They are magical humans and I love being around them. ⭐We take young people on wild adventures, stretching their comfort zones and linking what they are learning in the wild to how it might all apply to the rest of their lives. ⭐We've worked with over 1.2 million young people since 1941. That's quite a lot. ⭐We have an alumni network who tell us how OB courses 10, 20, or even 60 years ago changed their lives and made them who they are. ⭐We work with companies to create partnerships that enable more young people to experience Outward Bound. These often involve donations, fundraising, exciting events, or all 3. HOW DID I LEARN WE CAN DO MORE THAN WE THINK?😎 I worked as a lawyer for 8 years, and was a Director of a law firm at 28😎 I ran a marathon, 6 months after taking up running as an adult. 😎 I ran a company for 9 years working with girls and women, using running as the tool to show them they could do more than they think. I still do this for a non profit, See Sporty Be Sporty. It's ace. 😎 I ran across Yorkshire (around 100km) in a week. On day 5 I wondered if maybe I could do less than I thought. I was wrong. 😎 I get to visit OB centres with our supporters and see our instructors in action, changing young people's lives. It's an absolute privilege.
