Supported families with children diagnosed with Autism in Wayne County.

Worked with caseload of 12 families focusing on the zero to 3 population to ensure healthy child development following the Early Headstart Home Visiting program. Linked families to resources when appropriate. Facilitated parent groups to promote socialization and parent meetings virtually.

Trained in Michigan Protocol for Forensic Interviewing. Work alongside multi disciplinary team entities to support children qnd youth ages 3-17 in Wayne County. Court involvement as needed.

Supported families going through behavioral and mental health and working with strength based model towards individualized treatment goals. Advocacy in educational environments and linkage to community supports.

Assess and evaluate both youth's and family's needs using the Wraparound approach and Core Values. Assisted activities in a classroom setting for children with Autism ages 10-12 during a day camp. Encouraged youth to develop and work on day to day social skills.

I co facilitiated a classroom of nine and ten year old youths with Autism. Managed daily activities during the summer camp program. Engaged children with sensory soothing games.

Roles included receiving calls in crisis, facilitating counselors and families with translating, peer counseling as well as participating in the Street Outreach program. Developed gang prevention presentations/programs for adolescents at risk.
