Hired on a business case for an Account Administrator, but took on the role of a junior Application Support Analyst. Worked to ensure the Unitholder Recordkeeping department maintained functionality during a demanding tax season/year end. Major projects included client account scrubbing and tax reconciliation.

Assisted the Recruitment and HR Relationship Management team. Researched, wrote, edited,and updating human resources policies and procedures, including new employee on-boarding guides and manager resources. Also helped to cover many responsibilities during the replacement of a Recruitment Coordinator with a Recruitment Programs Specialist.

Gave regular campus tours to prospective graduate and undergraduate students of the McMaster University campus. On occasion, gave tours to interested officials from other universities interested in McMaster’s organization, developing skills of professionalism, communication, and problem solving.Also held this position during the periods of: October 2010-December 2010, January 2011-April 2011, October 2011-December 2011.

Planned and executed main events hosted for incoming and outgoing international and exchange students. Led a subcommittee of event planners and international liaisons who assisted with events and in gaining support from the international and exchange student community.

Developed policy and procedure manuals detailing the account processing of several of CIBC Mellon’s fund companies.Acted as an account administrator in the Unit Holder Recordkeeping department, processing trades, quality checking trades, running reports, mailing out checks and dividend reports to investors, sending out trade confirmations.Also held this position during the periods of: May 2010-Aug 2010 (Summer Student), and May 2011-Aug 2011 (Summer Student).

Assisted an educational trainer in lectures, “Why is Bullying ‘Still’ A Problem? What Can Adults Do?” and “Effective Techniques: Conflict Resolution”, presented to parents, teachers, principals, and school board officials. Topics centred on anti-bullying and conflict resolution in schools and the workforce. With a team of two others, recognized the link between girls’ self-respect and a susceptibility to both bullying and being bullied. Developed and produced Girls’ Respect Groups, a program which works to build and maintain self-esteem and self-respect in girls during the vulnerable years of middle school. Girls’ Respect Groups is unique in the fact that it is led by teen girls, helping middle school girls. The program expanded rapidly and resulted in training young leaders, a training program, and eventually a book that is a summation of these programs. Girls’ Respect Groups can be picked up in either the United States or Canada, and be used to implement a group in any community in which young girls interact. Assisted in producing and writing a screenplay and short film promoting Girls’ Respect Groups, coordinating cast, cameramen, and editors in the film production process during Summer 2009. Was featured on TVO Parents as a bullying expert, discussing bullying and Girls’ Respect Groups in April 2008. Received the Louise Russo Leadership Grant for extraordinary work on anti-violence in the Toronto community, summer 2007.

Worked in a team of three personal assistants, setting up and operating two websites, managing Camberley Press and acting as a personal office assistant.

International Leadership Conference, where 200 accepted participants from around the world learned about differing international perspectives on world issues. Three week seminar utilized discussion, presentations, guest speakers, and workshops to teach the principles of leadership in confronting and resolving these issues.
