I work as a Media Specialist for the Oceans and International programs at the Center for Biological Diversity. I also do a little podcast production, audio work and audio instruction on the side. Before starting at the Center, I spent several years working as a freelance reporter and audio producer, covering environmental issues, agriculture, health, injustice, inequality, and the impacts of tech. I grew up in Washington, DC but went west for education and stayed. I have reported for The Guardian, The Washington Post, NPR, KQED and KALW in San Francisco, Aspen Public Radio in Colorado, Grist, Civil Eats, Craftsmanship Quarterly and the Point Reyes Light. If I'm not working, I'm probably outside on a rock, in the ocean or with my nose in a book.
