School Counselor
Current-Provide individual and group counseling services addressing socio-emotional and behavioral needs of students-Develop and implement a comprehensive counseling curriculum, including whole-class SEL lessons, small group counseling, and school-wide programs-Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute intervention strategies for students with mental health and behavioral challenges-Offer support, guidance, psychoeducation, and consultation to parents and teachers-Participate in multidisciplinary teams and meetings to discuss student progress and coordinate support strategies-Conduct brief mental health and behavioral evaluations to identify student needs, strengths, and areas for growth-Connect families with external therapeutic care and maintain relationships with clinicians for ongoing support-Assist students in resolving personal, social, and family-related issues impacting academic performance and well-being-Facilitate workshops and programs on perspective-taking, kindness, bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and decision-making-Lead professional development sessions on student mental health and literacy-Conduct emotional health workshops for Parent Education program-Collaborate with directors in case management-Maintain accurate and confidential student records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards-Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in school counseling
