As the Director of Higher Education at Beyond Benign, a non-profit organization dedicated to green chemistry education, I lead the development and implementation of programs and resources that empower college and university faculty and students to adopt sustainable practices in their teaching and research. I have a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University at Albany, where I conducted pioneering studies on highly sensitive compounds of polyaromatic hydrocarbons, published in 7 peer-reviewed journals.I am passionate about advancing the field of green chemistry and chemical stewardship, which I pursued through a certificate course from the University of Washington, the ACS Summer School, and the co-executive directorship of NESSE, a global network of young professionals working on sustainability solutions. With over 5 years of experience in teaching chemistry at Utica College, I also have a strong background in curriculum design and pedagogy, and I enjoy introducing green chemistry concepts and practices to both major and non-major courses. I am always looking to connect with scientists and engineers across disciplines to share resources and forge collaborations for a prosperous and sustainable future for all.
