As the season-long media specialist for the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, my job duties include traveling to camps and competitions and creating visual content (photos, videos, posts on social media, graphics, etc.) to aid the marketing efforts of the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps.

Fort Mill, South Carolina

During the summer months, I focus my efforts on creating content for Carolina Crown, in addition to planning posts and coordinating between the summer interns and the full-time Crown staff. In the off-season, I create engaging content with the goal of continuing to engage our fans, sponsors, and members.

San Antonio, Texas Area

My daily tasks include managing the social media sites for MEGA Systems Inc., creating print ads for magazines in which the company advertises, writing press releases that go out to various print and online publications, taking product photos to go on our company's website, as well as shooting and editing videos surrounding new products we release. I am also responsible for updating the company's website with new products, banner images, and descriptions. Through my work with MEGA, I have learned how to use CRM software, how to better use the Adobe Suite for different kinds of projects, how to operate various video editing software, how to write press releases, and how to work in a fast-paced, small company setting.

Rockford, Illinois

The Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps is a world-class competitive marching ensemble that draws 16-21 year olds from all over the country to audition, compete, and grow character through marching and performance education. It is an audition-based ensemble that includes brass players, percussionists, and dancers. The Corps travels to over twenty states nation-wide during the summer months, ending at the Drum Corps International World Championships held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The crew of NEXIS features a roster of talented and fearless explorers from an eclectic set of backgrounds and disciplines who maintain the various systems and initiatives on board. These students have the opportunity to learn by doing, or tinkering, with the latest in information technologies, offering their expertise to their peers and the broader world through a variety of educational initiatives inside and outside of the University.
