Natasha Mann, who in a profile in British Vogue was credited as “paving the way for a new generation of industry insiders”, is an inspirational and transformational leader with two decades of experience working within the music industry alongside artists such as Amy Winehouse, Florence + The Machine, Disclosure, U2, Drake and Mumford and Sons. Starting her career as a publicist in fashion and music, before moving into marketing, Natasha, rose through the ranks to become the first female Managing Director of the legendary Island Records. She was not only the first woman, but the first woman of colour, to hold the position in the label’s 60-year history, and indeed within the wider music industry. During her time in the role the company enjoyed their most successful period in over a decade and achieved 3 years of consistent growth (sales and profit).Most recently she represented Universal Music UK at the Women and Equalities Select Committee inquiry into Misogyny in Music. In addition to her roles at Universal Music, Natasha established a mentoring scheme to support young talent and acts as both ambassador and board member on organisations dedicated to ensuring inclusion and equality within music. In 2014, Natasha was honoured at the inaugural Music Week Women In Music awards and named one of the ‘Most Influential Women In Music’ in the industry.
