In Mid and South Essex, the Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs) Faculty provides the infrastructure to facilitate system-wide working between providers of health, social care, private independent voluntary organisations, education and training providers and arms length bodies and brings together AHP leaders from these different organisations.The strategic aim of my role is to support and deliver a collective approach to workforce supply and growth, working differently and productively in a compassionate and inclusive culture for AHPs across Mid and South Essex. In addition, there is also a strong focus on increasing apprenticeship roles, placement capacity, supporting continuing professional development, developing Advanced Clinical Practice roles and career opportunities, building partnerships with education providers, and addressing local educational and workforce priorities.
