I was asked to return to ExpoDisplays to serve as a Design Director in the spring of 2016. In this new leadership role I have many of the same responsibilities that I had as Senior Designer with the added task of leading a team of designers which includes managing day to day tasks, project planning, quote and budget reviews and project leadership. I also have extensive interaction with clients throughout the project as well as leadership through the production and delivery process to ensure client expectations and budget objectives are achieved.

In the summer of 2014, I started a new adventure and took a leadership position for the Visual Communications team in a large interior architecture firm in downtown Houston. As a Team Lead I was responsible for managing a team of (12) designers as we worked on external and internal visual communications projects. My management responsibilities included project planning, resource utilization, budget development, cost tracking, and heavy client interaction on multiple projects and project teams as well serving as primary designer on several projects.

My responsibilities included meeting with clients to discuss needs and desires, working closely with the Design Director to create unique exhibit and interior experiences, extensive 3D modeling and design ideation, creation of photo-realistic renderings and animations for design presentation, graphic design and graphic production, material specification and sourcing, detailed quoting of all design projects, as well as daily interaction with project managers and detailers to ensure design integrity and quality is maintained in production.
