Starting at Goldman Sachs we had a small tight-knit group of 4 individuals to correct thousands of performance discrepancies on client accounts. We quickly added a new manager and two new team members that needed training. It felt like we were starting from scratch to find the best ways to correct the discrepancies. Due to the long-term illness of team members, I volunteered and was assigned to work on four essential and highly technical projects in addition to my daily duties of correcting performance. Some of the main skills I learned were financial analysis, excel analysis, perseverance and leadership, and communication in high-stakes situations.

At Pleasant Grove, even as a part-time employee, I was trusted with impactful projects on which to work. I was assigned to create a performance management system by which each of the 7 departments could take a survey once a month and it would automatically input the survey data into graphs and charts that the city administration could look at and analyze when making policy decisions. This automated system will save the city time and money by easily finding trends in order to make data-driven decisions. I also distributed and analyzed the results of an employee satisfaction survey to help the city administration develop plans to improve the employee's experience working for the city.

US Bank was all about teamwork. I was an integral part of the 6 employee branch of Provo Utah. When I first started with the bank the branch was one of the worst branches in the district for both revenue and customer service. We quickly turned that around and became one of the top three branches in the district. I learned a ton about communicating effectively in emotionally charged situations, money management, and teamwork. One of my major achievements was uncovering a kiting scheme and saving the bank $6,000.

As a UVU technology specialist, my whole job was to help students solve problems with technology and software. This required me to be able to help patrons solve problems with software that I oftentimes had never used personally. I gained unshakeable confidence in my ability to learn complex software and programs in a short amount of time.
