As night shift industrial Electrician for Rusken Packaging, my daily tasks consist of ensuring the proper electrical function and maintenance of Flexo-Gluer-Folder corrugated machines, Corrugation stitchers, belt and roller conveyor systems, and strapper/bander machinery.Common tasks include but are not limited to: Inspecting feeder cables and conduit for damage or defects and repairing/replacing as needed. Inspecting all leads to all electronic motors, switches, and sensors for damage or defects. Troubleshooting improper functionality of all motors, servos, encoders, switches, relays, sensors, and solenoids. PLC troubleshooting and monitoring. Point-to-Point electrical control panel troubleshooting. Installation, maintenance, and repair/replace of all motors, sensors, switches, switch gear, cabling, lights and/or lighting systems, breakers, breaker panels, CAT-5e and CAT-6 network cabling, and camera systems. Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair/replace of various brands of VFDs including Powerflex 525, Dura pulse, Lenze, and FlexPak 3000. Installation, maintenance, and repair/replace of industrial 120, 208, 277, and 480Vac controls and power delivery systems. Installation, maintenance, and repair/replace of 24Vdc low voltage controls systems. Installation, maintenance, and repair/replace of low and high voltage motor controls and motor soft starters.

As an industrial electrical technician, my daily duties were to ensure the electronics and machinery are kept in good functioning condition at all times. Regular daily preventative maintenance tasks are performed in all areas assigned by the immediate electrical shop supervisor and as needed as well.Common tasks include but are not limited to:Inspecting cables and conduit for damage or defects and repairing/replacing as needed.Inspecting all leads to all electronic motors, switches, and sensors for damage or defects.Troubleshooting improper functionality of all motors, servos, encoders, switches, relays, sensors, and solenoids.Monthly breakdown and rebuilding of 20,000rpm 3-phase spinner-head motors to maintain ready supply of functional items for repair/replace PMs.Filling an EAM work order for all items used in the act of repairing or replacing faulty or defective motors, VFDs, sensors, inductive switches, limit switches, proximity switches, PLC master and slave modules, etc.Monitoring PLC logic to determine bit triggering in real-time using Studio 5000, RsLinx, and RSLogix 5000.Daily maintenance and inspection of all assigned area MCCs (master control centers), monitoring contactor functionality, cooling fan performance and functionality, and breaker fault testing during scheduled down days.Running/installing CAT-5e/CAT6 network cabling for installation of new PLC systems.Running conduit and mains power cables to new installations of PLC control cabinets and HMIs.Point-to-point troubleshooting of PLC signal leads.
