At OG&E, I held a key role in the Grid Enhancement project, an $80 million initiative that included a significant transformation of the company's field area network, covering over 30,000 square miles and serving more than 800,000 customers. I led the transport-related technical aspects of this transformation, including the move to optical backhaul using dedicated and Optical Ground Wire-based (OPGW) fiber, the upgrade of the existing multi-state microwave network, and the addition of increased redundancy to enhance system resilience. A crucial aspect of this upgrade involved designing a more secure architecture, as well as implementing Quality of Service (QoS) to maintain optimal network performance. I also oversaw the selection and implementation of a new infrastructure monitoring platform and developed logical configuration plans for connectivity of substations and power plants. I created configuration plans and guides for vendors, and worked directly with manufacturers and their channel partners to secure vital equipment during a challenging period for supply chains.

At INTEGRIS Health, I held pivotal roles in driving substantial advancements across network infrastructure and technology management. When faced with the unexpected challenges presented by COVID-19, I spearheaded efforts to rapidly expand the network infrastructure. This involved extending outdoor wireless coverage for emergency departments, expanding DMZ and Internet connectivity to support the sudden transition of employees to remote workers, and making network changes required to support the reconfiguration of patient units to prepare for COVID-19 patients. I managed network infrastructure technical planning for divestitures and acquisitions of new hospitals and clinics, and assisted teams implementing new devices, applications, and workflows, helping them with network-related questions or changes that needed to be made. I also led the transition of network operational duties to a managed service provider, supervised network expansion budgets, and directed a networking staff of six engineers. My leadership extended to managing major campus network refresh projects, new facility infrastructure design and build-outs, and advising or leading complex troubleshooting efforts. I implemented cellular backup connectivity for INTEGRIS clinics and led a project to refresh and standardize all network equipment across 77 locations.
