As a young man in my twenties, I knew I should be saving and investing for my future, and I managed to build a decent "nest-egg". But I didn't give much thought to the importance of being financially prepared for unexpected tragedies. Even as I watched my father deteriorate from a chronic neurological disease and pass away when I was 27 years old, and then witnessed my mother earlier that same year, go from running relay races to becoming permanently disabled, literally overnight, from a near fatal brain aneurysm, it still didn't completely register that my parents could have done some very simple things to be more prepared for these unexpected tragic events. We all think we have more time, and bad stuff only happens to other people. It's easy to tell ourselves that we will start investing, update our will, or make sure our family or business has adequate financial protection TOMORROW. But tomorrow doesn't actually exist. Today does. And today could be our last day. Yes, or no?I've always been a naturally curious and hungry person who wants to be expanding perpetually. I'm grateful that my life's journey and my interest in personal development, life-long learning and finances, led me to where I am today. I'm blessed to be able to educate families and business owners alike on how to bolster their financial strategies, maximize their money, minimize their taxes, improve their quality of life and sleep better at night.
