- Rolex/Tudor/Fender Custom Shop “Black Bay” StratocasterA handmade, Fender “Black Bay” Stratocaster was made to celebrate the reintroduction of the Tudor brand in the U.S. Combining design elements from the iconic Tudor Black Bay timepiece and the Fender Stratocaster guitar resulted in the first official brand collaboration for ROLEX USA. The guitar is now on permanent display at Rolex USA headquarters in New York.- Levis Vintage Clothing/Fender Custom Shop “Hot Rod” StratocasterPartnered with luxury brand Levis Vintage Clothing to create a one-of-a-kind Fender Stratocaster to compliment the Summer ’15 collection “Hot Rod”. Masterbuilt by world famous luthier John Cruz, the guitar traveled globally on a press tour and was featured in outlets including Hypebeast, Esquire, GQ and Mr.Porter.- Hurley/Fender Softgoods Capsule CollectionGlobal lifestyle brand Hurley paid tribute to the California roots of the Fender brand by releasing an exclusive 8-piece softgoods collection called “SRFGTR”. Designed by legendary artist CR Stecyk, Nate White, and professional surfer Conner Coffin, the collection was the sole collaboration HURLEYS 2016 global offering.- Vans Vault/Robert Williams/Fender Limited Edition Stratocaster packPaying tribute to the founder of the lowbrow art movement, the luxury division of global shoe brand Vans released the Robert Williams capsule collection in Fall 2016. Comprised of a Robert Williams-themed guitar/case and two styles of iconic Vans shoes, the collection was exclusively carried by premium Vans accounts in the USA, Japan and Europe- Blue Note Records/Vans Vault 50th Anniversary CollectionPaying tribute to the 50th anniversary of legendary jazz label Blue Note, Vans released the exclusive Blue Note capsule collection in Winter 2015. Four iconic styles were wrapped in classic Blue Note Album artwork from the past five decades, and released exclusively at the Vans DQM General Store in SoHo New York. The collection is currently sold-out.

• Making artist input the foundation of product development (a first for the musical-instrument industry), I facilitated our transition from a sales-based artist-relations model to one of collaborative new-product introduction. This was enhanced by my insistence that our marketing staff accompany every product launch with aggressive seeding of artists on tour.• I grew our Nashville market share 40% by turning the local showroom into an artist-relations mecca. The result was a dramatic increase in musician participation and a commensurate expansion of our social media presence.• By aligning our artist-relations team with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group, as well as leading independent labels, I reinforced existing relationships and acquired immediate knowledge of artist signings.• I strengthened the relationship between Artist Relations and Marketing, ensuring that our social media pages showcased our artist partners’ connection to our products instead of the products alone.• After noticing the negligible presence of our competitors at domestic music festivals, I established Fender as the exclusive brand in backstage artist environments. This, coupled with opportunities in television performance and social-media engagement, contributed to a nearly 30% rise in stage share.• To celebrate the release of Ryan Adams’ album “The Prisoner,” we partnered on 10 variations of the Fender Stratocaster, which we awarded to fans in an online sweepstakes. I’d worked hard to earn Ryan’s trust – he was previously notorious for eschewing endorsements. My success was demonstrated in part by his enthusiastic involvement in a 10-minute promotional video.
