The ultimate goal of my work in Extension is to improve the lives of Minnesota citizens through the design and delivery of high-quality, community-engaged programming. The focus of my work is the research-based and strategic design of education programs that emphasize community-based innovation, effective teaching methods, informative curricula, and civic engagement. To this position, I bring a broad and applicable experience. I have taught youth and adults in classrooms, small nature areas, a college campus, and a remote 2,000 acre outdoor learning center. I have trained teachers and naturalists, managed and directed programs, hosted responsibilities for budgets, marketing plans and reports. I have served on local, state and national boards or directors.
