During the various times I served as the eager and highly capable Research Technician, I assisted the researchers with collecting data, providing treatment, medication, and care for the lab animals whilst assisting the lead research scientist with conducting the experiment and recording the findings. Whilst relocating to New Zealand and starting my professional career as the adept Farm Assistant for Withers Farming Company, I assisted with daily operational tasks as directed, including feeding, milking and animal health. I worked closely the Farm owner and helped to feed the cows, calves and any other stock on the farm. I assisted with allocating the feed, drove machinery to feed it out and checked to make sure the animals have had enough to eat as well as learned how the milk gets from the cows to the vat for collection.I kept an eye on the cows and worked with Farm owner to identify and help any animals with problems while also getting involved with things like reproduction, herd testing and preventative measures such as drenching calves. Whilst assisting with spraying, fencing, and planting trees and plants along waterways to help improve the farm’s environmental impact.Key Achievements:• Gained valuable experience in all phases and aspects of New Zealand`s dairy and beef production and successfully developed sound knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance, feed budgeting and feed allocation, decision making in a grass-based system, soil irrigation, silage production and winter feeding.

Undertaking my private veterinary practice, I took on the responsibilities of managing the healthcare of bovines and included clinical evaluation, laboratory analysis, medication and surgical procedures. I monitored beef and dairy herds, determined treatment protocols for the most prevalent diseases, and implemented industrial hygiene, milk quality, mastitis control and prevention protocol definition. Whilst promoting preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations, I performed surgery, dressing and treating wounds, and prescribing medication as well as ensured compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies and procedures. I maintained patients’ medical records and performed various administrative duties as needed.

As the highly capable Consultant for Veterinary Junior Enterprise, I was responsible for providing advice and support for improving business operations whilst conducting assessments to determine which areas required improvement, evaluating staff performance, examining financial statements and reviewing training and procedures.
