Initiated, launched, scaled, and maintained the Amazon Gives Volunteer Program at LEX1 and partnered with 4 other sites to expand the program creating and coordinating 17 community engagement volunteer events making an immeasurable impact for years to come. Joined AWS Disaster Relief Team and on 07/30/22, in the KY flood that claimed 39 lives, local Amazon facilities assigned me to manage and coordinate our local efforts with Public Policy and state government to support disaster recovery efforts. I was recognized in the global community impact report. Joined AMZL Access as an intern to create and coordinate end-to-end delivery of essential donations with ad-hoc line haul transportation using Amazon’s transportation network and fulfillment centers throughout North America. Managed the Baby2Baby and the Save the Children (STC) accounts and independently met crucial deadlines at the end of the year. Coordinated 72 routes that moved 2,372,934 donated items to 59 nonprofit organizations, resulting in transportation cost savings of over $212,000. Created and spearheaded a scalable outreach program repurposing lightly used Kindle E-readers, benefiting underrepresented communities in the digital divide and through a partnership with 16Ways, donating over 4400 E-Readers to senior living facilities and literacy nonprofits across the state. Partnered with Amazon AWS’s SLG Director and the KY Dept. of Education during COVID-19 to supply Kentucky students with free Wi-Fi for remote learning. Completed a 10-week Area Manager internship hyper-focused on employee engagement and awarded an Area Manager position. Safety: Area Manager implementing Integrated Metal Detection eliminating hazardous thermal events that cost the firm $1,600,000 in 2022. Helped maintain a safety culture resulting in our site having the safest year on record in 2023. Training and Development: Owned skill training for my shift of 450+ associates to keep indirect roles filled with a skilled and knowledgeable team that produced an overall increase in employee engagement. Operational Optimization: Averaging 80,000 units per shift, focused on optimizing safety, quality, and productivity with actions that drive costs and reduce waste. Inventory Control: Use software to manage inventory metrics, minimize waste, and optimize efficiency through effective inventory management techniques such as Just In Time delivery. Staffing Solutions: Partnered with leaders to configure and manage staffing software for over 1000 employees.
