Responsible for routine operations in assigned facility. Directs work of assigned staff andperforms a variety of administrative and technical tasks related to library operations, includingscheduling and coordinating functions with Assistant Operations Manager and information andtechnical services with Supervising Librarian to ensure the most efficient use of staff andresources. Provides managerial support and supervision to ensure effective and efficient clustercirculation operations in support of delivery of library services consistent with KCLS standardsand policy directives.

Oversees and supervises Library Pages including hiring, training, determining work assignmentsand schedules, performance evaluation and corrective action. In the absence of Branch Manager, and as needed, position has responsibility for care and maintenance of the facility and oversight of library operations. Assists patrons with information about library materials, equipment, programs and services. Provides basic informational and readers’ advisory assistance in person, online and over the phone. Performs routine maintenance and upgrades of the library technology equipment, and troubleshoots related patrons’ issue. Performs material circulation duties.
