As the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement he implemented a campaign that increased KPAC 88.3 FM's audience by 60%. Under his leadership the online audience for TPR.ORG doubled in size. He has served Texas Public Radio in nearly every broadcasting and programming role, from managing and directing staff, hosting on-air, and reporting on arts and cultural issues.As an Operations Manager, he facilitated communication between the programming and corporate support staffs, ensuring the effective scheduling of on-air messages. Nathan enjoyed regularly training and coaching new air staff.As Program Director at Texas Public Radio, Nathan launched the news department and helped create KSTX's award-winning program, "The Source." Under his direction, TPR's classical music station reached new audience heights.When it came time for TPR to focus its online and social media presence, Nathan was asked to lead the organization's digital efforts, planning, developing, and maintaining a new website designed to engage audiences. As a result the number of users of TPR.ORG doubled from 2012-2013. Speaking of audiences, in 2000, Nathan created and continues to curate the popular summer film series Cinema Tuesdays. The annual film series gives over 3,000 people a year the chance to see classic films on the big screen. The popularity of his movie-themed Twitter/X account, @TPRCinema, led to Nathan being named one of San Antonio's Top Ten Tweeters by the San Antonio Express-News in September, 2013.As a volunteer, Nathan's knowledge of desktop publishing and writing served the St. Matthew Catholic Church community, where he and his wife edited a quarterly newspaper delivered to 6,000 parish families.Nathan has been honored by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Association, the Los Angeles Press Club, and the Houston Press Club.
