As a response Estates Officer for Fold Housing Association I am responsible for the maintenance for approximately 1000 properties. My day to day response maintenance duties include raising appropriate works order to our MTC contractors as well as carrying out post and pre inspections to ensure works are being carried out to a high standard as well as ensuring that the Association are getting value for money. Weekly I would be involved in checking and authorising invoices for work carried out on stock. I am also heavily Involved at handover stage with my development colleagues in educating the Associations new tenants on how to work mechanical and electrical appliances throughout the property, I am also involved in carrying out defects reporting to building contractors. I actively Work alongside my housing colleagues to ensure void relets have a quick and efficient turnaround. Communicating with all the property services team and tenants to ensure an efficient and customer satisfactory service is provided in terms of maintenance.

During my work placement at Armagh council I shadowed the Property Services Manager carrying out daily duties to the councils stock to ensure all properties ran efficiently and effectively as reporting any maintenance issues through to the Councils in house maintenance team. I then became heavily involved in carrying out legionella checks throughout their buildings.
