I am responsible for providing detailed support to the buyer to successfully manage the development and growth of Football, Baseball, Lacrosse, Wrestling, and Golf footwear along with Golf apparel and Equipment. I also have the pleasure of training new incoming Purchasing Support Specialists along with mentoring current Purchasing Support Specialists.My job responsibilities and duties include:--Maintaining Buyer's merchandise buy plans--Creating purchase orders for the product the buyer is interesting in ordering and sending via e-mail or EDI.--Uploads SKU information of product into Workhorse from buy plans --Works with the Planning department to make sure fill-in orders and purchase order pushes are inline with the fiscal month budget. Updates the Planning Department of any cancellations so the budget is updated.--Loads the purchase orders into the Order Management System to make inventory available to sell--Acquiring and process merchandise samples from vendors so they are able to be shown on the web or in a catalog--Proofing catalogs to ensure accuracy of SKU numbers, product description, pricing, sizes available, image delivery date, and proper inventory levels. Responsible for assisting with various duties in the Receiving Department. Communicates with the Purchasing and Accounting departments in order to solve outstanding receiving issues. Assists in recording incoming products, making adjustments to the computer terminal reflecting purchase order receipts and completes related documentation confirming new products in inventory. Maintains a standard receiving procedure for all incoming purchase orders. Also received certification to operate a man-up, end rider, and fork lift.
