This position has allowed me to gain valuable organization, leadership and financial skills that are suitable for any workplace. Certain tasks that I performed were to be done in a limited time while also achieving the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness. Certain projects, for example making a Gantt Chart through Microsoft Project, were given to me with little knowledge about how the task should be completed. This allowed me to research all necessary tools both on the job and at home. Performing payroll deduction reconciliations and distributions, student bursar distributions and disperse University tax charges. Other duties include cash audits on a monthly basis, daily deposit processing, balancing cash, checks and credit cards. During Summer of 2015 I mentored a summer intern to perform financial tasks for the Recreation Center later resulting in a job offer for the intern. Other various tasks include organizing and rewriting department policies for cash and check handling.

Promoted from Business Office Assistant I to Business Office Assistant II after 5 months of hire. Responsibilities include asset recording, planning all staff training, scheduling meetings and interviews, filing, scanning and running errands for professional staff. Duties also include working with the senior accountant to perform cash audits, daily deposits, cash, credit and debit reconciliation and bursar distributions.
