I am an enthusiastic, hard working recent graduate who studied chemistry and physics at the College of the Holy Cross. I am specifically interested in analytical chemistry, materials chemistry, and aerospace, but am also flexible, capable and willing to learn about other subjects and explore new possibilities using my chemical, laboratory, and mathematical proficiency.Previously I worked in a research laboratory with other students and a lab adviser to analyze biodiesel fuels through conventional separation methods including gas and liquid chromatography. My role as a research technician was critical for the theoretical innovation of a portable analytical device used to determine feedstocks present in biodiesel samples. Other skills include Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR), Mass Spectrometry, and Data Analysis.More recently I interned in the research and development department at Mott Corporation in Farmington, CT, which specializes in precision filtration and flow control. I performed capability studies developing new innovations to branch out to different industries, then communicated the results to head scientists, metallurgists, and representatives of potential customers. I have the experience and knowledge to take on any role whether it be leading a new study or supporting previous work in any laboratory environment.
