As an IVLP NPA Program Officer, I am responsible for designing and implementing IVLP professional exchange programs. After being provided with objectives by the U.S. State Department, I design programs for U.S. Embassy-Nominated foreign professionals and leaders, to both serve their individual interests, and advance U.S. foreign policy goals. I coordinate closely with State Department Officials, interpreters, DC-based Gatekeepers, local partners spread across the United States, my teammates, and the foreign participants themselves. These programs cover all regions of the globe, and a wide variety of topics relevant to the State Department's mission.

As my programming agency's Senior Program Specialist, I continued my previous work as a Program Specialist, with added responsibilities to train and support other program specialists, lead the team's internship program, oversee the general budgetary and logistical systems used by all specialists, and alter these systems when appropriate.
