They would like to make a difference in the community, providing job seekers with the employment and career development opportunities they seek and businesses with the correct candidates to help them achieve their goals.The team have combined experience of over 25 years in recruitment and 20 years in HR/Business management.My role as Senior Recruitment Advisor involves a huge amount of communication both with clients and candidates within the temporary recruitment department of Smart 1. Temporary recruitment is currently the largest area of business so my role is very fast paced. It is my responsibility to register new candidates to ensure we have an ever growing database of candidates to help fill our clients job roles. On a day to day basis, for each role, I must ensure that I am finding the right candidates for the job as quickly as possible.

Working for First Personnel, my role was split into two key areas, resourcing and site coordination.As a resourcing consultant for the company my duties included:• Post the positions of work available for my clients • Short list any CV’s I would receive and interview any prospective candidates• Register any successful candidates and give them an induction or training if requested by the clientMy duties as Site Coordinator included:• Find out the staffing requirements needed • Book any relevant staff available for said job• Make sure all staff are signed in and following all health and safety policies• Communicate with all managers and line leaders to make sure all their needs are met• Making sure all temps are following all policies and procedures and working to our client’s expectations.• Communicate with managers to get figures for the following day and book all staff in.• Deal with any disciplinary actions that were brought to my attention, these would vary from a verbal warning to full dismissal from the company.• Reason for leaving end of contract

Working as a General Warehouse Operative, my duties included:• Making chairs for luxury model Landrovers using several different power tools• Keeping my workstation tidy• Abiding to all health and safety aspects of the job• Communicating with other staff and line managers• General stock taking.

As an out of hour’s recruitment officer I would:• Be in charge of a number of different offices• Make sure all warehouse staff and drivers were at work or on the way to work. • Make sure all of our clients’ needs were met, these included getting extra staff in, cancel staff or deal with any other problems the clients may have.

Soon after joining as a General Labourer, I was promoted to Supervisor, my duties included:• Making sure all staff were in on time• Making sure all staff were working to the companies standards• Making sure all health and safety issues were dealt with and upheld• Discipline staff as and when needed.

As a General Labourer, I was responsible for:• Repacking old stock into new packaging• Recycling p.v.c plastics and windows.
