At A+E I worked to maintain and upgrade the landing page sites for A+E's various brands including History, Lifetime, and FYI, as well as HTML5 apps for platforms such as the Xfinity Flex. I've had to work closely with a variety of internal teams in order to move from an ExpressJS stack to a NextJS site that takes advantage of our own shared component libraries. One of my pet projects has been trying to facilitate the design-to-code pipeline with tools to help our designers, such as setting up Storybook instances for our components, and writing a custom Figma plugin to speed up the design process. I also worked on our streaming apps for a variety of smart TVs.

During my second tenure at Reflexions, I took responsibility as lead developer on the effort to redesign The Shade Store’s mobile experience, converting it from jQuery Mobile to a React/Redux/Webpack SPA backed by the site’s REST API. I also contributed to NYC's contactless subway fare system, OMNY, and helped set up a GraphQL server for the site of Brisbane's new contactless fare system, both in cooperation with Cubic Transportation Systems.

InterExchange is a nonprofit dedicated to creating cultural exchange experiences through work travel. Here I helped develop features for a Ruby on Rails web application used to connect U.S. employers with uniquely qualified foreign workers and students for various programs, as well as maintaining a parallel PHP web application for an au pair program. I became an early adopter of Facebook's nascent React framework here when I helped incorporate it into the two projects.
