About Nathan Harwit
I attended Boston University (BU), and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, and a minor in Piano Performance. While at BU, I started a Boba company, and sold over 1000 cups of Boba tea across several events. After graduating from BU, I started teaching Go online, and learned to program because I wanted to automate processes in my Go lessons. I found I really enjoyed programming, so I decided I wanted to become a software engineer. As a result, I enrolled in App Academy's part time, year long coding bootcamp. I applied the knowledge I learned at App Academy and put in over 530 hours of effort to build my Go website: go-puzzles.com . I'm currently a full stack software engineer at Stitch AI, website found here: https://dev.getstitch.ai/loginI grew up in the San Francisco Bay area with a twin brother that’s 2 minutes older, and started taking piano lessons at age 5. Our family moved to Boulder when I was 8, and a year later, I started playing Go at a local library after seeing the game at a Chess tournament. I achieved a “Grandmaster” rating at age 15, and have been playing for the last 17 years. On Sundays, I volunteer by teaching at the local Go club where I originally learned to play Go, and have been doing so for over 14 years. Outside of programming and teaching Go, I enjoy playing tennis, watching anime, playing League of Legends, and spending time with my family and close friends!
