Variable hours over summers between these dates, working as part of a team to assist in the porterage of furniture and other deliveries around the school campus. This role involved ensuring that the school campus was clean and fixing or removing furniture as required. My communication skills were improved in this role as it was essential to communicate with members of staff from within and outside of my department. Working in this position also helped to develop my ability to follow instructions and has enhanced my memory recall, as there were several outstanding tasks being completed at one time.

I completed a year long placement as a part of my degree program. I worked as a Research Assistant for the Department of Sport and Health Sciences at the University of Exeter. Whilst in this role I took a lead role in organisation, recruitment, data collection and data analysis for a scientific study. During this time I developed skills such as self-teaching, organisation, time management and the ability to use SPSS whilst drawing on knowledge learnt from my degree. This paper is currently undergoing peer review with the potential of publication.I was also required to deliver several presentations of different styles to different audiences, including reporting data analysis, trends and overall results to a group of senior researchers and recruitment presentations to large lecture theatres of undergraduate students.
