As the Louisville Zoo's Seasonal Guest Services and Attractions Supervisor, I am responsible for overseeing and training seasonal staff. I am also responsible for creating the daily and weekly schedules for everyone, and I frequently delegate and coordinate tasks. I assist my fellow leadership team while also helping any other Zoo department that may need it. In my role as the Guest Services and Attractions Supervisor, I am in charge of opening and closing Zoo grounds (for both daily operations and special events), and I maintain and operate the rides and attractions throughout the Zoo. I am also responsible for providing positive guidance while directing and leading our team to success. I do this partly by ensuring the safety and security of all guests and staff members. I regularly address and resolve any issues, complaints, or concerns that guests or staff may have. Also, I occasionally use my proficiency in basic computer functions (e.g. Microsoft Office, email, etc.) and Point of Sale (POS) systems to complete tasks.
