My career has been both in business suits and combat boots, and the time I've spent leading both team members and soldiers provides me with a well-rounded background that allows me to reach goals under tight pressure and narrow deadlines. Military service carries with it a stigma of cultivating excessively strict and disciplined individuals, so many are surprised to learn that I have a creative nature. In college I studied art and design for my minor, and although I never fully applied that part of my education to my professional life it nurtured and developed my ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions to complex problems. That creative nature has also fostered a mild obsession with technology which has paved the way for my career in computers and network security. Outside of staying up to date on cutting-edge technologies; my free time is spent dabbling in hobbies like 3D modeling and printing, drone piloting & aerial photography, home automation, virtual/augmented reality and programming.
