I'm a "data person" with strong skills in explaining complicated concepts and collaborating with others to produce and disseminate information.My work as a statistical consultant and graduate teaching assistant have provided me with many opportunities to work with educators and students across departments from a variety of racial, national, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I love using data to understand people’s realities and translating that understanding into policies and actions that promote equity.My interest in research methods has made me an expert at questioning why a particular method is used, how a variable is defined, when a result can be generalized. I'm nuts for both quantitative and qualitative methods, as well as interdisciplinary research and write-ups that are comprehensible by both lay readers and experts. I have 5 years of experience as a research assistant in the social sciences, including experience with both quantitative (RStudio, categorical data analysis) and qualitative (interviews, coding) methods.
