Responsible for overseeing timely and effective technical support for the SCUS aspects of supply chain and oversee commodity operations unit. Ensuring that these functions operate collaboratively, efficiently, and effectively to support awards and oversee risk management for Save the Children US (SCUS) humanitarian awards and other SCUS awards with food commodity components. Additionally, oversee that SCUS surge commitments are met and associated staff needs are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner, including SCUS support to the Emergency Health Unit (EHU). Lastly, responsible for aligning strategic engagement of SCUS in global movement humanitarian capacity building initiatives, and takes a lead role in effectively managing DHR’s day-to-day internal operational requirements.

Represent SCUS interests within larger Save the Children International Humanitarian Capacity Building working group; focus upon operational design and roll-out of humanitarian professional development initiatives, tools, training, and guidelines. This includes the coordination and hosting of field based trainings meant to instruct staff in humanitarian field procedures, safety and security; and proper coordination mechanisms with relevant stake holders (foreign governments, UN, military, local NGOs, private sector, etc.).Co-Lead Save the Children International Emergency Supply Chain working group focused on the immediate deployment of staff and emergency relief items to conflict and/or disaster afflicted locations.
