In this role I support the governance of the current Fundraising Protocol, support National Offices to develop resource mobilisation activities, engage with key stakeholders across Members, Regional Offices, Country/National Offices and Centre on issues related to the Fundraising Protocol, develop and facilitate capacity building and learning opportunities for the National Offices and the wider Save the Children Movement, as well as provide specialist fundraising subject matter expertise that supports the National Offices, the FlexOM project, and the wider SC Movement.

Kosovo

As Development Coordinator, I undertake Donor Landscape Studies regularly to identify donor trends, lead in the development of a funding strategy for the 2019-2021 strategic planning period, facilitate structured donor engagement, track and identify donor opportunities, and coordinate and write proposals for large, competitive funding opportunities. As Development Coordinator, I ensure that Save the Children International Kosovo Country Office proposals use innovative approaches and creative strategies to package and present key program strategies in ways that attract the right donor and supports the growth of the office portfolio strategically and in a sustainable manner. I also liaise directly with donors and key institutional and bilateral partners in order to remain apprised of new developments, progress of major institutional grants, and keep myself and the office updated on current grants as well as discussions about potential opportunities.

Kosovo

I managed and oversaw the project “Support for Better Social Services for the Most Vulnerable Groups”, funded by the European Union (EU) and co-funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). The overall objective of the project was to contribute to an effective transformation of the social service system in Kosovo for improved quality and availability of the local social and community based services for children and vulnerable and marginalized people living at social risk. During the 31 months of its implementation period and with a total budget of 2,3 million EUR, the project provided technical assistance to central and local-level institutions, as well as funding in the form of sub-grants to Kosovo NGOs. A total amount of sub-grants, ranging from 30,000 to 60,000 EUR, were provided to 27 NGOs. These sub-grants were instrumental in funding the delivery of quality social services to vulnerable groups in Kosovo. In total, 1,5 million EUR were provided through the sub-granting scheme. Key project results include, among others: More than 5.000 direct beneficiaries benefitted from social services, out of which more than 50% were women or girlsAlmost 3.000 children were directly reached through the project (1.103 girls and 1.078 boys) The project impacted directly more than 1.000 members of minority communitiesMore than 2.000 beneficiaries or one in three beneficiaries were people with disabilities. 160 social workers from the basic, medium, and superior level were trained in order to improve their skills and increase their capacity to deliver quality services to beneficiaries 38 Municipal Action Plans on social service delivery with clear objectives, budget, activities and indicators were developed in cooperation with municipalities, centres for social work and key local actors The development of a modern and flexible funding mechanism for a Specific Grant for Social Services.

Kosovo

I was the Project Manager for an EU-funded project at the European Centre for Minority Issues Kosovo (ECMI Kosovo) in Prishtina, Kosovo. The project was implemented by ECMI Kosovo in partnership with Health for All (HFA) and Roma and Ashkali Documentation Center (RADC). The Project, “Increasing Employment of Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian Communities Through a Recycling Collective”, aimed to increase self-employment opportunities for informal waste collectors from the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian community members in five municipalities in the Prishtina region through the provision of trainings on work safety, market conditions, improving links with recycling companies, better transportation and tools, and enhanced internal organization leading to long-term sustainability. As Project Manager I was in charge of the following: • Centrally-planing and executing project activities • Overseeing the implementation of all project activities• Maintaining timelines and the budget • Be the key contact point for all project-related matters • Overseeing and supervising project staff • Drafting and submitting all donor-required reports

Prishtina, Kosovo

• Under the guidance of the Political Affairs Unit leadership, monitored, informed and advised the International Civilian Representative/European Union Special Representative (ICR/EUSR) on actions of the Assembly of Kosovo and legislation related to the Comprehensive Settlement Proposal (CSP) proposed by President Marti Ahtisaari• Drafted speeches and talking points for the ICR/EUSR, which he delivered during his senior-level meetings and public engagements• Drafted analytical reports on political developments, widely distributed to the International Steering Group (ISG) and other diplomatic offices in Kosovo • As the leading analyst of Kosovo politics, reported and advised on developments in Kosovo's national political scene • Monitored and reported on developments related to Kosovo's security institutions, including Kosovo Police, the Kosovo Security Force, and the Kosovo Intelligence Agency• Established and maintained professional but effective contacts with key political players in Kosovo.
