Selection of projects worked on:Kier Hardie Health ParkKier Hardie Health Park is a new £35 million development for Cwm Taf Health Board accommodating community health, GP services, outpatient clinics, therapies, mental health, learning disability and community dentistry under one roof. At the time of construction it was the only health centre of its kind in Wales that integrated health, wellbeing and social care of the community on such an extensive scale.The Jubilee BuildingThe Jubilee Building project involved the re-provision of surgical wards and a new central concourse building on the Musgrove Park Hospital campus in Taunton. The Ward building consists of 112 en-suite single bedrooms with support facilities, forming a three-storey building around a central landscaped courtyard. The central concourse building providd a major node point and public heart to the campus, providing retail and clinical routes across the existing hospital site. The Grange University HospitalThe Grange University Hospital is an important component of an entirely new pattern of healthcare for the people of Gwent, to be delivered through the Clinical Future programme. The Health Board requires a hospital that provides critical care services and functions as a world class healthcare facilitiy, prioritising the needs of patients and creating a comfortable and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. The new building will provide Emergency Assessment Unit, Critical Care and Theatres (level 2 & 3), Maternity and Children’s hospital, Adult Inpatient Unit and Ambulatory DTC.The Grange University Hospital will deliver the above services for the populations of Newport, Monmouthshire, Torfaen Gwent, Caerphilly and South Powys.

Selection of projects worked on:Maurice Wohl Neuroscience Clinical Institute, LondonA new facility for King’s College London provided a new centre of excellence for clinical neuroscience research. The scheme was a landmark project for the Denmark Hill campus and provided 150 primary laboratory work spaces, dedicated secondary laboratory spaces and write up space for over 320 researchers. The building achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ (Bespoke) and incorporated ground source heating, natural ventilation and a mixture of active and passive chilled beams to write up areas.12 Maiden Lane, Covent GardenThe scheme was located within the Covent Garden Conservation area and involved the retention, refurbishment and extension of an existing disused electricity generating hall to the basement level, an existing ground level restaurant and upper level warehouse storage. The proposal provided a B1 unit to the basement level, refurbishment of the existing ground level restaurant and 14 new residential units to the upper levels.33 Queen Square, LondonThe project involved the demolition of an existing Grade 2 listed house and former chapel to provide to provide a narrow infill building allowing a physical link between the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital and the Queen Mary Wing of the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.60 Great Ormond Street, LondonThe redevelopment and extension of the existing Royal London Homeopathic Hospital located within the Bloomsbury conservation area and adjacent to listed buildings. The project involved the demolition of the rear sections of the building to provide a new enlarged courtyard with a series of stepped terraces to enable natural light to reach the lower levels. The existing facades were retained where possible and all interior spaces completely refurbished to modern standards.
