At Bloomington Public Library I had convergent roles as IT associate and library assistant. I handled tech issues for both staff and patrons, monitored and facilitated the teen/gaming section, and planned youth programs for that age range. I designed the workflow for digitizing a large collection of index cards for a local newspaper, which is so far successful. I was also a member of the Green committee, which strives to keep the library as ecologically friendly as possible.

While working in the Digital Center of ISU's Milner Library, I helped with the digitization of a large collection of rare circus route books dating back to the 1840s. My duties included scanning, uploading and entering metadata for each book. During my third semester working there I arranged for it to become a paid internship.

In this role I supervised the university library's computer lab, answering questions from patrons and ensuring that the lab was clean and orderly.

In this role I spent most of my time learning skills related to metalworking (specifically precious metals) while simultaneously helping with customer service and occasionally sales. It was an excellent experience to have between high school and university and I continue to work with metals as a hobby.
