Whilst working for Paragon plumbing I worked on sites across the Sydney CBD area. I was working as part of a team and as a lone pipefitter/welder at times. The majority of the welding was GTAW 1"-20" pipe work for university halls and blocks of apartments. I also worked on many shutdowns within high rise buildings completing pipe work which was in poor condition and needed to be replaced. I had a short spell in the workshop reading isometric drawings, fitting and welding different pipe spools (stainless steel and carbon steel). The types of welding which was required was MMA, GTAW, FCAW.

Whilst working for Aircon piping installations I worked on many sites across New South Wales. I was welding/fitting carbon steel and stainless steel pipe (4"-12"). The processes I used were T.I.G and M.M.A. The reason it was such a short spell was that there was no immediate work and therefore had to cut the work force

I completed a 4 year advanced apprenticeship in welding during my time at Puma. Whilst at Puma the work which I carried out was quite varied. The majority of the work was welding process pipe work, ranging from small tube to 30" pipe. I also helped construct pressure vessels made from Stainless steel and Carbon steel, the welding on these vessels were FCAW, MMA and GTAW. I worked on a number of different sites across the south of England with Puma, which included Fawley oil refinery, De La Rue paper mill, Marchwood power station, Calshot power station (Npower).
