Worked with the EEOC to develop outreach strategies, content, and employment resources for indigenous communities engaged in farm work in the CA Central Valley. While many individuals in this area and industry speak Spanish, there are also indigenous language speakers. As such, we focused on reaching Mixteco, Triquis and Zapoteco groups in order to facilitate access to EEOC’s worker-protection resources.

Researched and wrote legal memoranda in areas of law, including business litigation, securities, class actions, unfair competition, and antitrust for several fortune 500 companies. Drafted answers and motions in consumer class actions, securities suits, and administrative enforcement proceedings. Prepared 14D-9s and Officers’ Certificates for mergers.

In this position, I worked to assist families seeking a Free and Appropriate Pubic Education (FAPE) for their children. Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), qualified students with disabilities are entitled to a FAPE by their school districts. However, working with school districts to attain this educational right can, at times, be difficult for parents, students, teachers, and administrators. In this role, I studies case law, complied memos, and assisted in advocating for families seeking educational access for their children with disabilities.

Drafted memoranda and updated policy guidelines. Prepared 10-Q disclosures and outlines for quarterly calls. Drafted answers to user privacy complaints. Navigated the intersection of technology and the law at the world’s premier video conferencing platform.

Advocated for Californians living in mobile homes. Worked on issues including lot line disputes, reclamation of tenants' rights, and tenant safety. Researched and utilized Federal Housing Law, California Law, and municipal ordinances when assisting clients. Worked closely on housing discrimination governed by the Fair Housing Act (FHA), with special attention paid to lawful discriminatory exemptions and FHA compliance.

Conducted client intake interviews, researched employment issues, briefed attorneys and advised clients. Worked on topics including disability discrimination, wage and hour claims, unemployment disputes, wrongful termination, and union negotiation under the umbrella of both California and Federal law. Personally assisted 30+ clients during the 2020-21 school year under the supervision of Director Mike Gaitley.

Created and implemented a web-based marketing plan, designed graphics, and expanded the web presence of the Institute.

Researched case law, attended hearings and client meetings, and managed confidential information related to divorces, child custody, and adoption proceedings.

Collaborated with a coding team to create an augmented reality application reporting on the 2018 Paradise Camp Fire in Northern California.

Directed a national team of designers in creating content for online platforms. Oversaw a group of individuals that collected and archived women's narratives for storage on an academic database.

Acted as a mentor and friend to the children attending the camp. Guided theirspirits and minds through recreation, reflection, and counseling.
