Worked on an independent project focused on conducting a thorough analysis of the Folsom Historic District aimed at identifying regulatory conflicts and inconsistencies among existing design and development standards. Made recommendations for regulatory changes as part of Folsom’s zoning code updates to align with new state laws, simplify regulations for public comprehension, and protect the existing rights of property owners within the Historic District. Composed seven detailed reports totaling over 200 pages of background and analysis, including 80 pages of recommendations. Produced more than two dozen land use GIS maps, including a corrected Historic District map based on the precise legal boundaries specified in the Folsom Municipal Code.Experience with various permit counter and current planning tasks, including but not limited to providing assistance to the public regarding planning inquiries; reviewing and approving applications for business licenses, plot plans for production permits, sign permits, and staff-level design review with supervision; and ensured compliance with zoning regulations, the general plan, and other municipal codes. Completed zoning verification letters and fulfilled public records requests. Trained on eTRAKiT permitting software, and ProjectDox.

Assisted hundreds of litigants through the initial legal process of beginning a Civil or Family Law case through identifying appropriate legal forms, offering referrals to legal services, answering questions on procedure, and reviewing legal forms before filing. Duties also included administrative tasks as assigned, including but not limited to scheduling appointments, copying and filing paperwork, and answering calls during call hours. Locations: Wiley W. Direct assistant to projects under the organization's Operations Director. Maintained accurate record keeping of organization purchase requests, researched and identified grants, coordinated a three person business outreach team to solicit donations, and shared collaborative ideas during logistics meetings for organization events. Engaged with university students to promote an inclusive and positive campus experience, and advocated for the needs of multiracial and marginalized communities to succeed in higher education.

Coordinated a seven member team to design a community development proposal for the Quarry District of Rocklin, CA. Delegated project assignments based on team members’ interest and abilities, mediated project discussions, liaised with officials from the city of Rocklin to assess community needs, and presented the project before the city of Rocklin’s Director of Parks and Recreation.

Designed a digital 3D model based on existing site plans from the city archives, in the field measurements taken of the building, and proposed changes to the structure. The design incorporated elements of the city’s history with the railroad and quarry mining, as well as the needs of the city to develop a community space for events.

Produced news packages on notable school and local stories to be aired for the WCTV19 daily taped show. Duties included conducting interviews, script writing, video editing, research, and videography.
