Responsible for the daily running of the workshop, working with wood and high functioning equipment to ensure product is made to a high standard and in a timely manner, responding to orders. Maintaining the laser cutters, problem solving and fixing all issues. Using CAD to design new and bespoke products and modify old designs to fix drawing/manufacturing issues. Product photography for use in trade catalogue, social media and on the website, updating the website with new pictures and up to date descriptions. Also involved in business and individual sales at events such as trade fairs and Christmas markets.

As an instructor at one of four outdoor adventure centres, co-ordinating and leading adventures to correspond with the needs and objectives of each group, from adventures developing leadership and team-building, to working with the learning outcomes in the school curriculum. Delivering the whole programme from single sessions to full day, multi-activity challenges and expeditions. Tasks included co-ordinating with teachers/leaders to make sure the aims and objectives for the week were met, attention to detail with all paperwork and Health & Safety and carrying out equipment maintenance. Sessions ranged from archery to mountain / hill walking days. Working with young people involved developing relationships quickly, growing their trust, ensuring they took away new skills, but also overseeing their safety and development during the week. Practical tasks included maintaining kit, stores and vehicles.

A member of a small team responsible for the proactive and reactive maintenance of a 120 acre estate with guest accommodation for 180 people. Working on construction of new buildings such as a biomass boiler storage building as well as repairs and improvement for furnishings and building structure, over the entire site, learning key techniques in wood, metal and brickwork.Other daily tasks included: swimming pool water tests, safety checks of accommodation and buildings before group arrivals, bin collections, grass cutting and landscaping. Other jobs included: ongoing maintenance of the centre’s fleet of vehicles, cleaning and maintenance of land drains, tree planting and safety checks of the centre's high ropes course and zip wire.

A member of a team providing outdoor activity taster sessions to a wide variety of groups throughout the year. Gaining real world experience in applying soft skills to interact well with clients and colleagues. Developing hard skills and gaining various qualifications in the outdoor industry.
