Leads a diverse group of security professionals developing and executing Physical Security and Technical Surveillance Countermeasures programs for the Joint Staff. Special Security Officer (SSO) that manages 80 Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and 120 collateral classified processing areas to include the National Military Command Center. Led a complete rewrite of Joint Staff Physical Security policy over 20 years old and consolidated numerous disparate policies such SCI and collateral physical security, non-traditional classified work environments, foreign national access, and mobile devices to provide greater and efficient protection of classified information and systems. Oversees programming, budgeting and execution of the $12M annual budget and contract management for Personnel Security, Information Security, Physical Security, Insider Threat, and Foreign Disclosure. Serves as the acting Chief, Joint Staff Security Office in their absence and a member of the Joint Staff Counter-Insider Threat Hub.

Serves as the President and on the Selection Committee of Troop Rewards that provides rest and recovery vacations for returning U.S. military members and their families who were separated due to deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and other remote or hostile deployments. These vacations and rewards at luxury resorts hotels are designed to aid in the reintegration of the service personnel and their families.

Led 450 military and civilian personnel providing security, law enforcement, antiterrorism and force protection for 18,000 personnel including two Combatant Commands. Led a cross-functional strategic gap analysis of capabilities and emerging threats and issues. Spearheaded modernization efforts focused on effectiveness by developing high-risk response capabilities, rapid fielding of new technologies, modernizing maritime response capabilities, and developing effects based training. Led security planning and execution of two airshows with 1,600 local, state, federal and military first responders while protecting 320,000 visitors. Crafted a cost benefit analysis of a projected security program that resulted in $3.6M in savings. Led the unit to the 2016 Air Mobility Command Outstanding Large Security Forces Unit Award and Excellent ratings during multiple inspections.

Kunsan Airbase, Republic Of Korea

Led 285 military and civilian personnel providing security, law enforcement, antiterrorism and force protection for 5,100 personnel. Responsible providing command and control and joint area defense with U.S. and Republic of Korea forces during wartime contingencies. Led an integrated risk management process to determine risk to friendly operations from enemy forces and developed mitigations to reduce risk to operations. The product and process was recognized as Best Seen to Date in Pacific Air Forces. Led unit to earn the 2012 and 2013 Pacific Air Forces Outstanding Large Security Forces Unit Awards and Excellent inspection rating.

Prepared, developed, coordinated and implemented Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff decisions and positions on antiterrorism, law enforcement, physical security, military working dogs, biometrics, and forensics. Instrumental in establishment of a senior steering group co-chaired by Secretary of Defense and Joint Staff senior leaders synchronizing force protection and law enforcement policy across the Department of Defense. Represented the Joint Staff during daily interagency terror threat meetings with 20 Federal organizations to share emergent terrorist threats with the National Counter Terrorism Center and National Security Staff.

Fob Falcon, Baghdad, Iraq

Led 250 Airmen, Soldiers, civilian police advisors, and linguists in order to train, coach, and mentor Iraqi Police. Developed and executed transition programs for 27 Iraqi Police district headquarters and stations with 3 General Officers and 4,000 policemen. Efforts resulted in raising operational assessment levels from 43% to 93%, increased number of warrants served by 105% with a 73% reduction in violence. Led intelligence collection field trial that led to the capture of terrorist cell leader and recognized as the most significant arrest in Baghdad in 2009. Unit earned 2009 Air Force Central Command Expeditionary Large Security Forces Unit Award.
