I manage a team of consultants producing business and complex security appraisals across a spectrum of uses, but primarily for estate planning and gift tax purposes. This role includes educating and mentoring the team on best valuation practices, managing workflow, internal review, and managing client relationships.

As a valuation associate, I have performed valuations of derivative instruments, intangible assets, and equity and debt interests for diverse purposes, including those of tax planning and reporting, lending purposes, financial and Securities and Exchange (SEC) reporting (including ASC 350-20, formerly SFAS 142- impairment testing and ASC 820, formerly SFAS 157- fair value measurements), ESOP purposes, and other corporate planning and reporting purposes.

As an analyst in the corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) group at Investors Bank & Trust, I generated a rolling 3-year-period corporate forecast, resulting in EPS guidance for the CFO, the Board of Directors, and Wall Street. I was responsible for forecasting the company’s revenue. This involved analyzing and forecasting: new business, interest income, business turn, treasury and ALCO expectations, as well as other information related to the company’s revenue. In addition to generating the forecast, I performed regular variance analysis and coordinated the annual corporate budget with the company’s cost center directors and managers.

This was primarily a client service role with several high profile clients.
