As of January 2020, I was promoted to Cluster Manager for the Jones Lang Laselle contract in Reading. I look after a team of 7 core concierge staff across 6 buildings, 6 security guards, several maintenance engineers, cleaning contractors and landscapers. My job role consists of KPI meetings with the client, creating and delivering a bespoke concierge service and managing service charges for all sites under my account. I have had the opportunity to create and develop user experience platforms for visitors and occupiers of some 50 companies that tenant our buildings, developing strong working relationships with clients making our brand a trusted service provider. I was key in delivering the future of service presentation to the board of directors for JLL in 2019 and have helped retain the contract of our biggest client for a further 5 years. During my time in this new role, I have delivered training to over 150 new starters in the form of classroom based (pre lockdown) and virtually since. I have had the opportunity to lead my team to win several awards from JLL and Interserve including the one team award, which honours the best team among the 185 buildings that we look after for the client.

This role was managing the reception / concierge team for a multi tenanted corporate office building based in the heart of Reading. The building was given practical completion in February 2017 and I was the first member of staff recruited. This building was a brand-new venture for both Myself and the client which meant that I have had the amazing opportunity to really put my stamp on the operations procedure. Myself and my team have been solely responsible for creating an ever-evolving bespoke concierge service for our occupiers, organizing and managing client events, creating and managing supplier accounts, maintaining 5-star customer service and client relations and visitor management. In addition to training and managing the concierge team, my role grew as I embarked on a Facilities Management level 3 NVQ. Becoming a trainee AFM for the site after its sale in 2018 to Aberdeen Standard Investments. My job role increased to projecting growth in the business, being responsible for a service charge of £200,000 per annum and working alongside the site FM to allocate budgets, staffing levels across many different departments and ensuring KPIs are met. I was promoted in January 2020.

The Ocean View Hotel is part of a chain of hotels specializing in coaching holidays. I entered this employment as a trainee Assistant Manager, to learn about the hotel business as a whole. During my time at Ocean View, I trained in many aspects of the business, from running a restaurant, to managing the monthly wage budget. In July 2014 I was promoted to Assistant Manager. I became responsible for the management of a team of 25, this included the daily operation of a large restaurant, kitchen, a busy bar and reception, plus dealing with guest requests and all staffing issues, stock control for each department, monthly stock taking and all cash flow. Because of my previous employments in bars and music venues, I also booked all entertainment, and oversaw all activities on a nightly basis.
