About Nathan Amery

I am an experienced Digital Marketer who has worked in agencies and client-side. I have a proven track record of increasing revenue through SEO & PPC, and have an in depth understanding of how to tie all the aspects of digital marketing together. I'm technically focused and hands-on with a good understanding of HTML, CSS, MYSQL, JS and a bit of python. I manage two developer teams across multiple timezones, as well as a small marketing team in the office (and from home).     This was a business I started back in 2010, during which I began to teach myself the concepts of SEO, Google Adwords and online marketing in general. It ran for three years, not making enough money to turn into anything bigger, but provided an excellent learning platform for me. I developed the website, managed the Adwords, and carried out SEO. At it's peak, the site was getting around 3000 uniques/month. The business wasn't profitable due to a flawed business model (the benefit of hindsight!), with the concept being that a customer could trade in a snowboard in return for reduced price off a new one. The traded in boards would then be refurbished and sold on for profit. The issue was that the postage costs ate up all the profit, as thanks to the trade-in, a single sale would require 3 lots of postage. There was simply not enough money in snowboards (especially used snowboards) to cover this cost.It was my skills acquired setting up this business that gave me the chance to begin working at Pretavoir where I was able to develop them much further.
