Starting while still in college, my business grew with me and continues to do so. Elected by the Members of the Board of Education to serve as Member Secretary. Directly responsible for signing all Board actions into record and maintaining minutes according to State law. Also responsible to serve in higher capacities (Vice President & President) during absences. As Secretary of the Board of Education, I also acted as a Member of the Electoral Board, certifying not only vote counts, but ballot nominations as well.

Publicly elected by the voters of Thornton, Illinois to serve the District on the Board of Education as one of seven Members. I was directly involved in the interview and hiring process of two Superintendents (one at the start of my tenure and one at the end), helped guide the community's understanding during a referendum campaign and, along with the Board President, represented the District during contract negotiations with the Illinois Teacher's Union.
