Nathan Blum is an acoustic and audiovisual consultant in Arup’s San Francisco office. He has previously worked in Arup’s Los Angeles, Sydney, and New York offices. In San Francisco, he leads the acoustics, audio visual, and theatre team. Nathan excels at leading Arup’s specialty consulting teams towards practical, client-focused outcomes on complicated, technology-rich projects. Nathan is experienced leading Arup multidisciplinary teams, integrating practitioners in acoustics, AV, theatre, lighting, ICT, security, and MEP into a cohesive design.Nathan is an expert in the Arup SoundLab. He plays piano and double bass. He has taught at Sci Arc in Los Angeles, lectured at Sydney University, and taught acoustics to architects and engineers.
