I've also sung in a choir on national radio on Christmas day, though I often followed the other choristers. But I have one skill that really is exceptional: computer programming. This isn't surprising to me. When I was seven, my Dad started to teach me how to program computers because this seemed to me what computers were for. I've linked dozens of remote locations to a central office using a custom VPN. My MSc thesis was about a data structure useful for Natural Language Processing, and I helped with the herculean task of machine understanding for the Bot Colony game. Coworkers often talk to me to figure out how to do something or figure out what's possible. I enjoy learning new skills, fixing illusive bugs, solving difficult problems, and watching people learn.
