During the summer of 2022, I had been working with Emerson Technologies as an Operations Co-op where I have been assigned a variety of tasks, primarily supporting the Operations Managers and Supervisors with Oracle, Safety, Quality, and Materials. I have done a variety of projects which Excel was used to produce graphs and tables to analyze data and find trends. Other programs such as Oracle E-Business Suite, Configuration Control, and Microsoft Access SQL database to analyze data and create charts for Manager. Working with Supervisors and Hourly employees in a unionized manufacturing environment, and assisting and sitting in on interviews and meetings with Managers. In my time I have gotten to learn more about how a manufacturing plant runs and increase skills such as communication, leadership, and time management.I have graduated from Miami University in the spring of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Data Analytics. During my time at Miami, I have been able to expand my knowledge and ability to use statistical languages like R, SSPS, and Python. I am also a part of many extracurricular activities at Miami like intramural sports, fraternal society, and volunteer experiences.Through my experience in my fraternity Phi Delta Theta, I have learned how to better many soft skills such as communication, leadership, and time management. Some of the positions I have held in the Fraternity include Vice President and Landscape Manager. As Vice President, I have used these skills to facilitate executive meetings and work with officers to help fulfill their roles. Throughout my time in Phi Delta Theta, I have also been able to help volunteer my time through the Live Like Lou Foundation where we would help a family suffering from ALS do tasks around their house like cleaning the basement or doing yard work for them. With the Live Like Lou Foundation, I was also a part of the founding of the Leave it Better campaign where Miami University is set to match up to $100,000 raised.Outside of school and work, I enjoy being in the outdoors whether that be camping, fishing, hiking, or biking. I also enjoy sports such as football and baseball whether that be playing or watching.
