As Field Team Lead on the largest Superfund Site in the country, I:• Help a team of field scientists make sure we know all the data we need, that it's correctly collected, processed appropriately, and then distributed to the right people. • Make sure that the team has the right tools and training and that compliance, regulations, or other requirements are handled so they can focus on performing high quality science. • Am also responsible for day-to-day office and team management,• Help other members of my team develop their skills and experiences.I spend most of my day doing these things:• Organizing, scheduling, and otherwise coordinating field sampling• Reviewing the collected data and any reports we write. • Handling project level administrative tasks and talking to other departments, external agencies, and stakeholders in other companies that we work with.I do less of these things, but they aren’t uncommon:• Fieldwork & lab work, with a focus on groundwater and surface water sampling• Writing automation scripts for data management and processing using Python and Power Automate• Working with the rest of my team to wrangle archaic processes

I create NEPA documents that are comprehensive and understandable - documents that inform the public in a straightforward manner. I create mapping, use imagery, and figures to 'tell the story.' I also have worked on UST reports, Socioeconomic Analysis, GIS server administration, Ecological Baseline Studies, and field surveys. I am also the Project Manager for our Bike/Pedestrian Civic Planning projects, and have been the environmental manager for all of our INDOT projects for the past three years.

I prepared lesson plans for five levels of students, and taught about 20 hours per week. I offered both core curriculum and expanded conversation lessons, and planned and led field trips. I also worked with the teachers to help them improve their familiar/slang language, and to introduce aspects of culture they were not familiar with. I was responsible for starting three new classes on conversation, which brought in more than fifty new students to the school, and ended up requiring an additional instructor be hired while I was working there, and two more once I left.
